Dr. Himanshu Gupta is a research scientist based in London, UK. He is associated with MEDAROGYA (DR. MOHAN GOPAL MEMORIAL CENTER FOR HEALTHCARE) as an advisor. He has expertise in infectious diseases, with a specific focus on developing new diagnostic tools to target deadly infectious diseases more prevalent in India and other developing countries.
Dr. Gupta was awarded a Ph.D. degree in the year 2015 from Manipal University, India. He investigated innovative methods of malaria diagnosis based on repetitive sequences. He also identified various host genetic and epigenetic signatures that confer susceptibility/resistance to malaria disease for his research.
He has received several awards during his early stage-career including the prestigious Overseas Postdoctoral fellowship funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. He has published several research papers, a few patents are in progress and presented his findings in international conferences in India and abroad.
